Living Green Now-maybe this is outside the scope of the purpose of this website but…
Does anyone know the answer to this: where does shoe/handbag/clothing leather come from? Someone told me that they actually kill animals just for this as opposed to using the waste product (ie. skin/leather) from animals which are being butchered for their meat…..if that is true, then it seems very wasteful in both processes. Wouldn’t it make more sense to use the skins from meat animals? I would really like the answer to this but haven’t been able to find it anywhere……
